Italian Institute of culture has the task to promoting Italian culture in Sweden in collaboration with the Embassy. This is done in a number of different contexts and through the following:

• Arranging educational exchanges on different levels- from high school to post-doctoral
• Distributing scholarships
• Arranging summer courses for teachers from Italy and Sweden
• Promoting the use and learning of Italian language in schools and universities.
• Providing an information service for the translation of grades and academic qualifications
• Mediating contacts between Swedish and Italian cultural organisations
• Organizing Italian cultural events in Sweden, such as concerts, exhibitions, workshops, theatre productions…
• Helping Italian-Swedish scientific collaboration through visits, workshops, and research agreements between the various institutions.
• Providing information on various aspects of Italian life, among others through the Institute's library .
